Hose Bed Threads: Return & Exchange Policy

1. The “Changed Your Mind” Rule (General Policy)

At Hose Bed Threads, we get it—sometimes the fit’s off, sometimes you realize you probably didn’t need another black t-shirt. Unlike some shops, we do accept returns and exchanges within 30 days of delivery.

Here’s the deal:

  • The item must be unworn, unwashed, and undamaged.
  • It must be in original condition (basically, don’t wear it to shift and then try to send it back).
  • You are responsible for return shipping costs.

If your item looks like it’s been through a three-alarm fire, we can’t accept it.

2. We’ve Got Your Back (Damaged, Incorrect, or Missing Gear)

We aren’t perfect, and neither is the mail. If your gear arrives looking like it got dragged behind the engine, or if it doesn’t show up at all, we’ll make it right.

A. Damaged or Incorrect Items:

  • The item is damaged, defective, or materially different (you ordered a chainsaw tee and got sent a dancing bear) from what you ordered.
  • You contact us within 30 days of delivery with clear photos of the issue.
  • We will either send you another item at no cost to you or give you a full refund (whichever you prefer). 
  • We may or may not have you return the item. If we have you return the item, we will pay for shipping.

B. Items Missing in Action (MIA):

If your tracking info shows your package is stuck in no-man’s-land or marked “delivered” but never made it to your porch, let us know.

Once we confirm the carrier dropped the ball, we’ll ship a replacement item at no additional cost.

How to File a Claim:

Send an email to hosebedthreadsstore@gmail.com with the following:

  • Your Order Number
  • A brief description of the problem (example: "I don't know what size I wear", “Package never arrived” or “My hoodie showed up looking like it fought a chainsaw”)
  • Clear photos of the issue (if the item arrived damaged)

Note: If the photos are blurry or we can’t tell what happened, we can’t process the claim. Make it count.

3. The Inspection & Refund Process

If you’re returning an item for a refund or exchange due to wrong size, color, buyer's remorse, or you decided you want a different design.... send it back first.

Once your return arrives and we inspect it, we’ll let you know if it’s approved.

If approved, we’ll either:

  • Issue your refund to your original payment method, or
  • Process your exchange for the correct item

Refunds are typically processed within 10 business days after approval. If your bank decides to move slower and 15 business days have passed, give us a shout at (571) 306-2821.

4. Return Authorization

Do not send anything back without contacting us first.

We need to approve the return before you ship it. Unauthorized returns may not be accepted, and nobody wants that headache.

5. The Fine Print (Because Somebody Always Asks)

Hose Bed Threads is not responsible for incorrect shipping addresses because you were shopping half-asleep after shift. 

Double-check your order details before checkout.

If the carrier loses it, that’s our problem.
If you accidentally send it to your ex-wife’s house, that’s yours.
